So jealous. If I had room for another bike it would be a Thruxton. I'd write the check today but the garage is already packed as is with the Storm. Enjoy the ride. They are amazing bikes.

That it is, I'd love one but they are just too small for me, if they make exactly the same bike scaled up 20% I'd be down the dealer like a shot!

Same problem here

Being 6'4", 105 kg, it's just too small for me

well lads, it nearly happened yesterday I nearly picked up my new machine, but there is some problem with the pollution gear, that keeps putting the engine management light on, purge valve I think they said.
the boys at the shop tried their best to rectify it, and there was 3 mechanics with their heads stuck in around it, and at one stage there was 7 staff trying to get me moving, with blokes on the phone to other blokes, lap tops etc. they tried hard, and at 7pm last night we decided to call it quits, and wait til Monday when they can chat to Triumph Aus. It all ended well, I gave them a carton of beer, and they gave me a brand new Storm to ride the 120kms home. everyone happy.
Thats life.
The Storm was sweet to ride home too. same colour as Matt1600 and Jessica's, the nice red.
now all i need to do is swap the motor into my Storm

Must feel odd riding a quiet Storm! Annoying about the bike but as you said "that's life", the 1200 is a peach of a motor, strong all through the rev range, relatively quiet! Enough vibes to give it character but not enough to annoy - a truly great real-world road engine.

Nice bike but a smog alert warning?? ...not for me (fix big industry first). I like the early Bird simplicity and less computer control.

well just after i posted my previous message, i got the phone call that all was well, and my bike was ready to be picked up.
long story short, it was some american thing that was loaded on the computer for the extra strict pollution laws, that needed to be uninstalled. simple fix in the end.
so i picked her up, and have spent the day getting acquainted
I am loving it lads
